QUALIFICATIONS

  • Program Director, Project Director and managerial experience: define problems, research grant opportunities; write grants; administer grants; develop budgets, organizational management, plan, direct, coordinate activities
  • Systems Change Agent: design, develop and implement consumer directed services. Designed statewide program to hire people in recovery within 11 state hospitals into Consumer Specialist (now knwon at Peer Specialist) positions. Developed job description, meeting ADA requirements. Trainer hospital adminstrators and management staff to meet legal requirements, developed interview questionnaire, assisted in interviewing and hiring process. Facilitated statewide monthly meetings to oversee implementation of program.
  • As Director, work with staff to develop and plan Wellness Innovation Center
  • Design, Develop, and Write Training Curriculum and Facilitators Guide: Implement staff training.
  • Design and Implementation, and Deliver Presentations. Conduct literature search. 
  • Establish workgroup to develop focus group criteria, faciliated grous, wrote report on results.
  • Participate on Workgroup regarding Relapse Prevention Planning
  • Principal Investigator and provided oversight to staff for administration and business function of grant.
  • Establish a statewide workgroup with forensic professionals to design and implement training. Conduct Train-the-trainer events to develop a consumer/family network to education staff and family members about forensic services.
  • Systems change agent: recovery culture, hiring qualified former/current consumers/peers of mental health services to deliver services to peers with mental illness in 11 state hospitals and community mental health centers.
  • Panel discussant; conference/workshop presenting and keynote speaker to various organizations/groups in a variety of states, such as Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio, Idaho, Delaware, Kansas, Washington D.C.
