  • 2005 to 2012 — Appointed by Governor Murkowski to serve on the Alaska Mental Health Board; current Chairperson
  • 2004 to 2012 — President Board of Directors of Peer Properties, Inc., a peer-run landlord-tenant non-profit whose purpose is to provide safe, affordable, accessible and decent housing for homeless adults with mental illness or co-occurring disorders in a peer-supported environment.
  • 1996 to 2001 — Served as the Consumer Representative on the MHSIP Midwest States User Group, representing Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin
